FAQ
What is hand stamping?
Hand stamping is the creation of imprints on a material’s surface using metal stamps and a hammer. Each metal stamp has a single raised letter or symbol at the end of it. This process is a much slower process than engraving, as it relies on the eyes and hand rather than the use of machinery.
Hand stamping has an organic look and will have slight variations in the depth of characters, the spacing, and the alignment of characters. This means each and every piece will be entirely unique!

What are your items made of?
Our items are made from aluminum, stainless steel, pewter, brass, and copper!
Copper, brass, and pewter will oxidize over time, turning a darker, more muted color. Some prefer this darker, aged color as it adds character to the metal. When exposed to air and moisture, brass and copper will develop a greenish layer of build-up on its surface, known as patina. Since the tarnishing process is facilitated by the oxygen in the air, to slow down the formation of patina, store your jewelry in a plastic bag to slow down the formation of patina. Make sure to wipe your jewelry dry before storing it. Leaving it to dry in contact with the air makes it easier for patina to form.
How do I care for my jewelry?
Do not wear your jewelry in the shower or store jewelry in a humid environment. All metals can react to beauty and cleaning products. Avoid contact with perfumes, hairsprays, lotions, and household cleaners. When you remove your jewelry after wearing it, wipe the pieces clean with a soft cloth before storing them to remove any traces of oils from your skin as they may speed up the tarnishing of copper and brass.
